Erwan Soyer

Erwan Soyer is a collagist who explores the three dimensional aspect of the medium.His main research interests are Human History and the exploration of dreams.  His collages are made by hand, pages and illustrations from old books are cut with a scalpel assembled with a glue bond.

He has regular meetings with Marie-Laure Brouillard, the well known conservator and bookbinder who taught him how to understand and handle this material, providing him with the know how to be able to conserve collage most effectively.

In his latest series of works climbers

and explorers travel across the pages of discarded books in search of adventurous spaces for the imagination.
