Ruth's images, collected from travels around the world, have great appeal being largely due to the strong colours and the use of light and shadows. She seeks out the ordinary, transforming it into the unusual and elevating it to the level of abstract and painterly images, using mixed media such as photography, pastel, acrylic and textured surfaces.
